I can’t decide if these comments are jokes or not so here:

Doctor Who started in 1963 with William Hartnell playing the first Doctor. The show went on to hiatus in 1989 with the Seventh Doctor - Sylvester McCoy - being the last for a while. Then, there was a TV movie in 1996 with Paul McGann as the Eighth Doctor. The BBC then restarted the show in 2005 with the Ninth Doctor - Christopher Eccleston, from then on you know the story.

Even if some of these comments are jokes, it’s better to be clear just in case new Whovians come across this post.
